Delete Your Account
Dots – Strategy Game
We respect your right to control your data. You can delete your Dots account and all associated data at any time using one of the methods below.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: From the App
- Open the Dots app
- Tap your profile icon (top right) to open Profile & Settings
- Scroll down to the Account section
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2: By Email
- Send an email to privacy@dotsstrategy.net
- Include the email address associated with your account
- Request account deletion in the subject line
- We will process your request within 7 business days
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account information — email address, username, profile picture
- Friend connections — all friendships and pending friend requests
- Game statistics — wins, losses, rank points, leaderboard entries
- Chat messages — all messages sent in game chat
- Reactions — all emoji reactions sent during games
- Shop purchases — cosmetic items purchased with in-game coins
⚠ This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Completed game records where you were a participant may be retained in anonymized form.
Data Retention
- Account data — deleted immediately upon confirmation
- Analytics data — anonymized and not linked to your identity after deletion
- Backup systems — any residual copies are purged within 30 days
Delete Data Without Deleting Your Account
If you'd like to keep your account but remove specific data, you can:
- Change your nickname — edit it from your profile screen
- Remove friends — unfriend individual users from the Friends screen
