Dots – Strategy Game ("Dots", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account Data

• Nickname — chosen by you during onboarding
• Email address — only if you sign in with Google OAuth or Apple Sign In
• Profile picture — only if provided by your sign-in provider or uploaded by you

Gameplay Data

• Game results (wins, losses, scores)
• Leaderboard rankings
• Friend connections you initiate
• Game invitations, in-game chat messages, reactions, and reports or blocks you submit

Optional Audio

• Voice chat uses your device microphone only when you choose to join voice chat during online games
• Voice audio is transmitted for the live session and is not stored by us

Analytics (Anonymous)

• We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for anonymous usage analytics — screen views, feature usage, crash-free rates
• No advertising IDs or cross-app tracking
• You can opt out in your profile settings

Advertising

• We may use Google AdMob to display optional rewarded video ads
• AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data as described in Google's Privacy Policy
• In the EEA/UK, we obtain your consent via the Google UMP consent framework before showing personalised ads
• Ads can be disabled in some releases or regions while ad services are configured
• You can remove standard ads via an in-app purchase where ads are available

In-App Purchases

• Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing — we do not receive or store your payment details
• We store a record of purchased items and transaction IDs for purchase restoration and fraud prevention

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Contacts or phone number
• Financial/payment information (handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing)

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the game experience (matchmaking, leaderboards, friend lists)
• To deliver social features you use, including friend requests, invitations, chat, reactions, and blocking
• To improve the app through anonymous usage analytics
• To send push notifications about game invitations (only if you opt in)
• To display rewarded video ads (with your consent in EEA/UK)
• To process and validate in-app purchases

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Data is only shared with:

• PostHog (analytics) — EU data center, GDPR-compliant
• Google — during OAuth sign-in, for Google Play Billing, and for ad serving (AdMob), per Google's privacy policy
• Apple — for Apple Sign In, in-app purchase processing, and receipt validation

4. Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored on servers hosted in Europe
• All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Authentication is handled through Google OAuth, Apple Sign In, or secure platform tokens; we do not store your payment credentials

5. Children's Privacy

Dots is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable laws, you can:

• Access your data — view it in your profile
• Delete your account and all associated data — available in profile settings
• Export your data — contact us
• Opt out of analytics — toggle in profile settings

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest revision.
